Sweet rolls with apples and cinnamon – soft and fluffy homemade rolls, so tasty and tender that they melt in your mouth.

Ingredients needed for the dough (we use ingredients at room temperature):
300 ml of warm milk
4 spoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of grated salt
7 g of dry yeast or 22 g of fresh yeast
40 ml of oil
40 g of butter
1 egg
550-600 g of flour
Necessary ingredients for the filling:
3 apples
30 g of butter
30 g of sugar
Cinnamon to taste – optional
Ingredients needed for the paste:
1 tablespoon of milk
1 egg yolk

For the dough , mix warm milk with sugar and yeast with a whisk. Cover the bowl with foil and leave for 15 minutes to activate the yeast.
Then add oil, soft butter, egg, salt and mix well with a whisk. We also pour in a quarter of the amount of flour, after which we gradually introduce the rest of the flour and knead a homogeneous, soft and non-sticky dough. Round the dough and put it in a bowl greased with oil. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and put it in a warm place for about 1 hour.

For the filling, peel the apples and cut them into slices, as shown in the image below.

Grease your hands with oil, work the leavened dough a little, then transfer it to a work surface lightly sprinkled with flour. We lay out a thick surface of about 0.3 cm. Align the edges, and then cut into strips 8-9 cm wide.
Collect the remaining dough, form a ball, stretch and cut into strips. We cut the strips in half, this way we get 12 pieces, from which we will get 12 buns.<img src=”https://www.iladies.ro/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/aluat-fasii-e1628836768605.png” />
We take a strip and make cuts, as shown in the image below.<img src=”https://www.iladies.ro/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/aluat-m-e1628836791671.png” />
Put a slice of apple on the entire half of the dough, sprinkle sugar (and cinnamon, if desired) on top and put a piece of butter. Place a slice of apple on top of a piece of butter and twist.<img src=”https://www.iladies.ro/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/chifle-e1628836814356.png” />
We do the same with the rest of the strips and transfer the buns to a baking sheet covered with baking paper, leaving a distance between them. Cover with a towel and leave for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, brush the buns with egg yolk mixed with milk and put the baking sheet in the oven heated to 180 degrees for 20-22 minutes.
