Cleaning the washing machine filter, how to do it
At this point we open the filter cover . We should see a black pipe laid out on one side . This pipe is normally needed to hold the water so that it does not spill onto the floor when we unscrew the filter . We then remove the cap from the pipe in question and let the water flow into the basin , after which we can close it again .
Once this is done, we unscrew the filter very gently clockwise . If this operation is difficult , scale has probably formed in the filter , so we can use a dry cloth to unscrew it . Once unscrewed , we can wash the filter with hot water and gently remove all the limescale and dirt inside .
Deep degreasing
If our washing machine filter has not been thoroughly cleaned for some time, we will need to degrease it thoroughly. To do this, simply dilute white vinegar , soap and water in a bowl, then let the filter soak for half an hour . Speaking of white vinegar, for proper maintenance and deep cleaning of the washing machine , it is advisable to run an empty wash cycle at least once a month after pouring vinegar into it .
Coming back to cleaning the filter, we can also disinfect the housing last. To do this we can take a cloth and pass it over the walls of the cork , perhaps using a finger or the handle of a spoon . Finally, we can close the filter .
Regular cleaning of the washing machine filter carried out in this way will ensure a clean and disinfected washing machine and avoid many breakdowns and malfunctions, saving you considerably .
