Get ribs so good from a slow cooker, you might retire your grill

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients:

3 pounds pork side ribs (about 2 racks)

24 ounces root beer (2 cans)

2 cups BBQ sauce, prepared

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Start by removing the silver skin from the back of the ribs with a spoon’s edge and your fingers for grip.

Season the ribs well with salt and pepper, then nestle them into a 6-quart slow cooker. Pour the root beer over the ribs to marry the flavors.

Cover and set to cook on low for 5 hours, or on high for a swift 3-hour cook.

Once cooked, transfer the ribs to a plate. Empty the slow cooker of the liquid.

Return the ribs to the cooker, smother them with BBQ sauce, and cook on high for one more hour to thicken the glaze.

Serving Suggestion:

For a grilled effect, brush the ribs with additional sauce and broil them for a few minutes until they’re caramelized and slightly charred.

This slow cooker recipe offers a laid-back route to irresistibly tender ribs, sure to be a hit at any meal.
